This summer, the temperatures aren’t the only thing heating up–so are Salesforce global events. We’re fresh off Salesforce World Tour London–a full day ExCeL Centre event that proved to be as informative as it was fun. As a Groundbreaker sponsor, we had 35 Own team members on-site dedicated to engaging and empowering businesses on how to protect their mission-critical Salesforce data.
Here are some highlights from our Salesforce World Tour London experience:
Understanding data independence
Over the course of the action-packed day, we welcomed 300 visitors to our booth and 113 to our popular theater session, to learn, connect, and explore what it takes to protect Salesforce data effectively. So, what does this look like? Simply put, it means having a backup and recovery solution that provides access to your data, independent of your ability to log into your SaaS application. After all, SaaS vendors built the cloud–you’re responsible for what’s inside.
With close to 50 meetings and live demos, our team was busy helping people bridge the gap between data independence and data protection, and why a top-rated backup and recovery solution for Salesforce matters.
Learning from the experts
Navigating Salesforce backup and restore options can feel like a heavy lift, if you don’t know what to look for. In “Choosing the Right Salesforce Backup and Restore Strategy '' live theater session, SalesforceBen's Christine Marshall and Own's Graham Russell helped navigate the data backup and recovery landscape, along with key capabilities you should look for in the process.

Connecting with customers
Owning your data doesn’t mean you have to go it alone. To kick off the exciting day, we welcomed 25 Own customers to an intimate breakfast at Aloft Hotel. The meal was an opportunity for customers across a wide range of industries to connect, sharing their experience using Own products and working with the teams that elevate their data protection experience.
Making data protection fun
Our booth and sessions weren’t the only spots buzzing with activity; so were our events. For our second straight year, we hosted a special London World Tour happy hour at The Fox. Guests enjoyed a live saxophone performer– along with refreshing drinks, bites, and conversation–on the outdoor terrace. And the good times didn’t stop there. We teamed up with Salesforce Ben to host “AfterPartyGPT” at Steel Yard in central London. This underground extravaganza featured a DJ, live band, open bar, and more. Who says data protection can’t be fun?!
