At Own, we innovate to deliver ongoing value and provide solutions our customers will never outgrow. Every few months, we recap some of the new features and capabilities we've been working on. Below are some of our recent product releases and how they can improve your experience using Own. If you're more of a visual learner, we recently demoed several of these features in our new webinar series, "What’s New in Own”, which you can watch on-demand here.

Own Recover for Salesforce

Continuous Data Protection

As businesses increasingly rely on Salesforce for time-sensitive processes—like e-commerce orders, customer service cases, or clinical trial data—data can change by the second. Today, the interval-based backup approach is the most common method for backing up your data (whether that’s a daily or hourly backup), however, for high-volume or rapidly changing data, this method can miss changes made between the backup snapshots and struggle to capture and handle large volumes of data efficiently.

In August, we launched Continuous Data Protection (CDP) for Salesforce to address this critical gap in traditional backup strategies. CDP solves these challenges by capturing every single data change in real-time, giving you full coverage and minimizing recovery point objectives (RPOs). This ensures that your business-critical operations are always protected and recovery is lightning-fast, no matter how quickly your data changes.

Restore to Another Environment

For regulated industries with strict data validation requirements, restoring data directly to production can pose risks. With our new capability, Recover for Microsoft Dynamics customers can now restore to a lower environment first, ensuring all changes are correct before going live. This added layer of control helps teams minimize risk, meet compliance requirements, and maintain business continuity.

Own Accelerate

Seed to Production

Our customers love Own Accelerate for its simplicity and ease of use. Now, with the new Seed to Production feature, you can take it one step further by deploying test data directly to production.

This feature supports faster release cycles by using one tool to manage both sandbox seeding and production deployment. It also simplifies working with record-based configurations—such as Lightning Scheduler or CPQ—where metadata behaves like data records, reducing errors and accelerating development.

Anonymize Production Data

In Q3, we introduced two new features that enhance our anonymization capabilities. The first is the ability to anonymize production data.

Production orgs often contain sensitive data, such as personally identifiable information (PII). With increasing privacy regulations, companies must respond quickly to right-to-be-forgotten requests by erasing any personal data.

Our new Anonymize Production Data feature makes this process easier by allowing admins to use reusable templates to anonymize PII without manual scripts. This not only ensures compliance but also allows you to retain anonymized records for reporting purposes. Available for Accelerate Unlimited customers or as an add-on, this feature saves time and reduces the risk of human error.

Generate Synthetic Data

The second anonymization feature we introduced this quarter is the ability to generate synthetic data.

Manually entering sample data for testing or configuration is a time-consuming process—and often results in limited test coverage. That’s why we introduced the ability to generate synthetic data, a feature that automates data entry into empty fields, helping you create richer, more varied datasets for testing. With more complete data, you can ensure your configurations and code work seamlessly in real-world scenarios.

Own Archive

Multi-level Archiving

With our new Multi-Level Archiving feature within Own Archive, managing complex data hierarchies has never been easier. Previously, policies could only archive records with direct lookups, which often left behind orphaned records—those without a parent object, making them difficult to manage.

Now, you can archive multiple levels of related records—such as Accounts, Opportunities, and Cases—in a single policy. This ensures that all relevant data is captured together, streamlining your archive strategy and reducing operational headaches for teams managing large, interconnected datasets.

Own Discover

Last but certainly not least, there’s our newest product innovation, Own Discover, which enables organizations to activate their historical data to maximize its value and turn it into a strategic asset.

While Recover has always provided automated snapshots for backup purposes, Discover allows you to repurpose this data to answer key business questions and drive smarter decisions.

In our product release webinar, we explored the following few use cases to show you how historical data can drive more data driven insights.

Use Case #1: Predicting Propensity to Buy

At Own, we used Discover to improve our sales strategy by analyzing how buyer intent scores—generated by tools like 6sense—change over time. Scores fluctuate daily, but understanding how they trend can provide deeper insight.

By pulling historical score data into Data Cloud and analyzing it with Python, we identified key thresholds where customer interest spikes. Now, when an account hits one of these thresholds, our sales reps know to prioritize it. This insight has improved how we engage with prospects and helps us close more deals.

Use Case #2: Enhanced Customer Segmentation

Most businesses calculate customer lifetime value (CLV) as a static metric, but Discover enables you to track CLV over time for deeper segmentation. This allows businesses to group customers based on how their value changes—unlocking new ways to personalize interactions.

For example, using AI tools like Agentforce, you can automate actions based on these insights. If a high-value customer contacts support, the system could send a personalized reward, like a coupon, ensuring meaningful engagement. Historical snapshots also provide visibility into support case trends, enabling agents to make better decisions without relying on complex workflows.
